Despite Higher Taxes, Cigars are Here to Stay

It is not a secret that most local governments have imposed high tax rates on tobacco manufacturers today thus forcing cigar makers to increase their prices out of proportionate offerings that they were originally intended. But despite such taxes add-ons, people are still buying them and this is perhaps the puzzle that makes lawmakers at awe.

What do we get from cigars? Smoke? Pleasure? Style? Should such be the case, then people must be crazy. Blame it on tradition since cigars have obviously become a quality part in personal identification. Tobacco has been given the due attention due to increased sales in recent years and it seems that it shall continue to do so.

However with the aggressive run towards banning smoking in most places of the world, the story may eventually gather a twist at some point. But for now, cigar smoking is still alive and kicking and no one seems to have a clear cut answer as to why this is so.

Difficulties in Breathing

One of the effects of cigar smoking is that this contributes to lung illnesses such as the popular lung cancer to which most smokers are dallying with. Smoking affects the growth of the lungs, hence a prime reason for people having hard times in storing the proper air when they get tired or engage in rigorous activities such as jogging or running.

Asthma or Breathing Problems

Comparing the smoker to a non-smoking individual, it will be noticed that the latter would be able to last longer than the person who smokes regularly and addictively. The number of puffs are telling factors, hence the rate of cigarette smokers who would encounter health issues at younger ages.

Smoking has a better weight of health issues over health benefits. While tobaccos are tagged to have health benefits, the overall awareness is that smoking is truly bad for the health. Besides it has been proven that based on the mortality rate of deaths, lung cancer is a prime suspect in much of the deaths in a year.

Quality Cigars for Rare Occasions

Not all people would standardize smoking a cigar daily. People would resort to cigars only at the right occasion such as new born babies, baptism and birthdays. Cigar smoking should not be confused with the normal cigarette smoker. They are rare compared to smoking those tiny cigarettes since they are reserved for the people who can afford and are after quality prepared tobacco manufactured in key parts of the world.

Cigar Smoking

The funny thing is that cigars just bring smoke to people. Some believe that these tobacco leaves have health benefits while some would believe that they are harmful to the human body. Each would have their own belief with regards to them, but taken altogether, cigars will always be part of something special and regular for chosen people who put premium in their preferred quality selected cigars.

One puff from a cigar says it all and people are just glad to enjoy their cigar paired with their favorite drink usually in the form of coffee or tea.
