The Partagás Legado has been launched in the UK and is now available in small quantities across the Havana Cigar Specialist network and selected hospitality venues.
It has been created in celebration of the famous brand’s 175th anniversary, having been established by Jaime Partagás Ravelo in 1845.
Although delayed due to the global pandemic, the cigars presented in lacquered wooden boxes are proving to be well worth the wait.
In the factories of Cuba this vitola (cigar size) is known as a Hermoso No.2 and measures 6 1/8” (157mm) x 48 ring gauge.
Today it is a size reserved for special releases, most recently with the Quai d’Orsay Senadores (2019 Limited Edition).
Legado translates into English as Legacy and, as a testimony to its founder’s belief in the importance of the raw material used to roll his cigars, Partagás still selects all its leaf from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco region in Cuba.
A fitting tribute to the legacy of Jaime Partagás Ravelo.
