Next month, General Cigar will release the CAO Flathead Resonator. This is a new regular production offering under the CAO Flathead brand that comes in a large, chunky box-pressed 8 x 60 vitola. Keeping to Flathead’s automotive theme, the Resonator is named for a component in a car’s exhaust system that reduces noise.
The Resonator features a different blend than the core CAO Flathead line. The cigar uses a U.S.-grown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Connecticut Habano binder and fillers for Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The cigars are packaged in 24-count boxes engineered with plasma-cut metal lids that double as “the ultimate in garage art.” Pricing for the Resonator is $12.79 per cigar.
This is not the first time CAO has released an 8 x 60 cigar. In 2021, CAO released the limited edition CAO 60 Torque. This cigar was best known for its oil can packaging design.
