J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has begun shipping the El Reloj Collection, a 2024 Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) exclusive. This limited-edition box set includes ten cigars handcrafted at the El Reloj factory in Tampa, Florida. A total of 500 boxes are being distributed to 51 TAA members, with a suggested retail price of $240 per box.
The collection highlights J.C. Newman’s effort to preserve America’s cigar-making tradition. It includes the first releases of two new cigars: the Angel Cuesta Shade and Tampa Smokers. Drew Newman, a fourth-generation cigar maker, noted the historical significance of the El Reloj factory as one of the last large-scale cigar manufacturers in the U.S.
Each box contains the following cigars:
- Two The American Toro
- Two Angel Cuesta Rosado Toro
- Two LeRoy Neiman Collector’s Edition 2024
- Two Angel Cuesta Shade Toro
- Two Tampa Smokers
The Angel Cuesta cigar was originally crafted for Spain’s King Alfonso XIII a century ago and features a Nicaraguan Shade wrapper. Tampa Smokers, named after the city’s former minor league baseball team, celebrates the connection between Tampa’s cigar heritage and baseball
